The New Campaign Protecting Children on a truly global Scale - 29 Jan 2018

Every year, over 2 million children are exploited into the global sex trade. 

As Christians, we have a key part to play in fighting injustice and pray God’s justice and kingdom into our world. So this year we’re partnering with It’s A Penalty in support of their 2018 global campaign that will protect the lives of children around the world.

Major sporting events take place across our globe each year, and It’s A Penalty plays a vital role harnessing the power of sport to highlight the need to protect children from abuse, exploitation and trafficking.

It’s A Penalty have campaigned during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Rio Olympics – and protected over 16,000 victims from exploitation.

This year, there are FOUR key moments that It’s A Penalty are campaigning at:

1 Super Bowl LII (Minneapolis, USA) – 4th February 2018

2 PyeongChang Winter Olympics & Paralympics (South Korea) – 9th-25th February & 9th-18th March 2018

3. Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Rugby Sevens – 6th-8th April 2018

4. Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (Australia) – 4th-15th April 2018

You can support the incredible work of It’s A Penalty by: 

1. Praying for the team and the work that they do. Specifically:

• Pray for the protection and rescue of vulnerable children
• Pray for perpetrators to be prosecuted
• Pray for God to be at work throughout the 2018 campaign so that more and more people will fight against this injustice
