Incoming Transmission>>> - 12 Jun 2006

You are warmly invited on 8th July to a 24-7 Transmission day

There will be great input, an opportunity to worship, pray for teams as they go out and, most of all, to meet up with friends. There will be plenty to go to on the day but no real pressure if you just want to relax – it’s a day to connect and reconnect.

What to expect>>>
The day starts at 9.30 with some worship and then there will be a an hour or so to hear stories from around the movement – perhaps what is developing in China, or the Balkans, one of the emerging communities or sharing current vision for students. Brian Heasley might give an update on Ibiza in his own unique style. You might want to tell some of your own stories …. It’s all about life!

Later in the morning Pete Greig will be sharing his own unique overview and perspective on the movement.

The afternoon will have three options – an update on Community and boiler room development, training opportunities and a Big Conversation where you can comment on what you love about 24-7 but also where you think we need to be developing and focussing for the next 5 years. The story is about ‘us’ together. Of course if you just want to catch up with friends over a long leisurely afternoon – it’s up to you.
The evening will have 100Hours leading worship and Roger Ellis will be let loose to talk on ‘bringing evangelism back into mission.’ We feel we really want to focus on sharpening our evangelistic edge. We’ll also pray for the teams being sent out to Croatia, Ibiza, Macedonia, Italy, Serbia, Luton and China/Thailand. We’ll wrap it up at about 10 pm but you’ll be able to hang about for quite a while. We’ll also have an offering for 24-7’s mission development and pray for England’s victory in the World Cup final on the Sunday.

Sleep over>>>
If you don’t fancy an early or late drive YWAM have kindly said that we can camp on the field on the Friday and/or Saturday night – it will be quite minimalist as we’ll only provide access to a loo and water – you need to bring the rest and there will be no camp site security so its at your own risk. The programme is only on Saturday – the other days are about training the mission teams. If you do camp you only have access to the Saturday’s program and all under 18’s MUST be camping with a responsible adult.

It will be a great opportunity to catch up and connect with what God is doing and saying at this time. If you have thoughts or ideas you would like to chat through with specific people – email me at: [email protected] and we’ll see if we can find space.

So what do I need to know?>>>
•    Cost: The cost for the day is £ 20 per adult – all children up to 18 are free. Simply pay on the day by cash or cheque when you register.

•    Booking: It will be helpful to have an idea of how many people may turn up so if you could email Cally at: [email protected] say who you are, how many you are bring and if you intend to camp over that would be a great help.

•    Food: Bring your own or there are many take outs, pubs, restaurants and super markets in town where you can get plenty to keep the hunger at bay! We’ll provide you with a map at Registration for you to find your way round town.
