Update from Easter 24-7 Mission Teams - 12 Apr 2007
Right now, there are four mission teams that have been sent out from the UK to Macedonia, Belgrade, Ibiza and Iceland. This is the first year 24-7 have sent teams like this outside of the summer season. It’s an exciting development and an extension to the usual summer teams (which will also be going out this year), but right now passionate praying people have are travelling all over Europe in search of God’s hand at work and plan in action from the 9th to the 15th of April. The focus for each team is about ‘preparing the Way’, the theme of the teams training which took place in Guildford this March. These teams are on discovery missions to pray and seek out God’s presence, heart, vision and plan for these countries. They are developing the existing relationships 24-7 has in each country as well as seeking new open doors for the future. They are linking with Brian, Tracy, Steve, Dawn, Becky and Ben in Ibiza. There is another team investigating how to better support Scot, Misty, Alec and Alpin in Macedonia. Phil and Anna Evans have led a team to Belgrade as they plan to move there in 2009 and Eric and Katie have done the same as they look to re-locate to Iceland.
The Iceland team have already seen potiental houses for sale and Bjork in concert, The Macedonia team (including Ian Nicholson) have been up mountains and across Skopje praying and spying out the land while engaging in meetings to get Red Moon Rising printed in the local language. The Ibiza team have been visiting the old Ibiza town and learning of the island’s history. They've also been trekking to the Huge Night club venues to pray and help the 24-7 community get ready for the 9 teams planned for this summer. Team Belgrade have been city watching and street praying, seeking God for future Boiler Room developments and trying to tap in to what He’s doing right here, right now in Serbia.
Please pray for the teams and all that God wants to share with them over this week.
