The End of an Era, by Carla HardingCarla Harding - 26 Apr 2007

For seven years I've bounded into the 24-7 International office at the Revelation Centre in Chichester shrilling "Good Morning" to the Fusion, Pacso and Revelation guys and gals before settling into a day of catalysing prayer around the globe.  It has been a happy, social existence ensconced in the Church and community that gave birth to this movement. Sadly, my happy bounding will be coming to an end this week...

24-7 Prayer will no longer be working out of the Revelation Centre :*(

We've grown and spread so much that this lowly little office is no longer needed.  We're boxing up years of photos, the "Shakin’ Stevens" album by the coat rack, the metal eagle hanging from the ceiling and the Indonesian dolls hung either side of our international clocks. We are taking our 24-7 stories and moving them north.  It's amazing how many nick-nacks we've amassed, each with a memory attached. Check out this movie to see the pack-up in action.

We're taking it all to London and joining Phil Togwell and Andrea Percy in the City Boiler Room.  I am determined to make our side of the office a cheerful representation of our seven and half year history.  A corner of sunshine and gratitude in our smart-ish white office adorned with faces, prayer room photos and my favourite stories and quotes.

As you can imagine this is quite a massive change! Charlotte New and I will be working from my dining room table here in Chichester and commuting to London once or twice a week. We're going to sorely miss being around the many other people and ministries in the weekday community around the Centre. We're lucky as we remain a part of Revelation Church, but for Pete Ward (Reading) and Anna Ward (Bournemouth), this really is goodbye.

Please pray a massive blessing on Revelation Church.  They have been excellent hosts and friends to the 24-7 family.  Please also pray for office team as we pack boxes, give away furniture and load trailers.  They say a change is as good as a rest and I have to say my sadness at leaving this office is lightened by my/our excitement in joining the City of London Boiler Room in all they catalyse in the UK.

PS - Further info on changes of address and phone numbers for the International office are reflected on the "contact us" page.
