It may not be the deepest darkest jungle, or the treacherous summit of a towering mountain, but London has unique pitfalls all of it's own!  For those of you travelling from around the UK and abroad we thought we'd take some time and put together your essential guide to IAM5.  What you need to bring, how to get there and how to enjoy the day to the max!  Never fear, 24-7 is here with a few pointers…

Make sure you know where your sleeping>>>
24-7ers around London have very full spare rooms, in fact some claim to even have people sleeping in their back gardens! If you were hoping to find a place when you arrive we would advise that you make a plan.  If in doubt, take a look at this website for cheap and cheerful accommodation: www.hostelsclub.com

It's important for your outfit to complement the theme of the day.  If you sadly don't own any, never fret, 24-7 will be selling copious amounts on the day (heehee).

Take two minutes to look at www.tfl.gov.uk so you know where to go on the underground.  When you're buying a ticket, a day travel card is always the most versatile way of getting around, it lasts all day and lets you travel on all underground lines and busses! There is no parking at St Mary’s, but the nearest tubes are: Edgware Road, Baker Street or Marylebone.  For a map to the venue check out St Mary's website http://www.stmarysweb.info/about/where.htm.

Bring us a Birthday Card with your favourite 24-7 memory of something you feel God is saying to the movement.  This Birthday isn't about names or a stage; it's about celebrating all that God's done in our community.  We want to hear from you.

There will be a cafe serving refreshments throughout the day and a market place full of organisations we love.  Pete Greig's latest book The Vision & The Vow will be available from the 24-7 Prayer stand.  If you haven't got your copy yet bring some cash!  You'll also want to bring money for food or a pack lunch, which ever your budget prefers!

The point of the day is you.  There will be plenty of opportunities to mix, meet new people, tell your stories and hear others.  Take every opportunity you can and enjoy yourself.

Expect to hear from Phil Togwell (our UK Base leader), Pete Greig (our International Base leader) and Floyd McClung (author of The Father Heart of God and The Devil on Your Doorstep).  Talks will be in English so please let us know if you will struggle with that.  If we have enough people we may be able to set up some whisper groups if English isn't your first language.

Phil Togwell will be available on the day for anyone who wants to connect more with the movement.  Phil will be able to swap contact details and put you in touch with the best person.  Due to the format of the day there won't be great opportunity for in-depth conversation but we want to make sure that this is a starting point for as many friendships as possible.

The lovely Becca Horsely will be our International Host at IAM5.  We will be introducing her from the stage and she will be available to specifically help international guests with any enquiries or questions they may have.

For any other questions or specific enquiries please email [email protected].  There'll be plenty of people on the day to answer questions, particularly for people travelling Internationally.

So, make sure you've got your ticket (www.24-7prayer.com/iam5), write your birthday card and blow up a balloon, iAM5 is nearly here…
