Ian Nicholson describes the Transmission vision...
|
"Transmission seems to have hit a chord at just the right time. We are waking up to the fact that the UK Christian scene can be quite parochial. The nations, and in particular Europe, will not be evangelised without mobility. We also need to move beyond the short term mission trip ‘box’ to engage seriously with God’s call to the nations.
We can no longer box things in one group – we want to come together and see where God takes us. Transmission is like one of those big picnics where everyone brings their own contribution, we mix it up and have a great meal!! We want to see who comes, what they bring and most importantly what God says to us." |
Following the camp it is hoped that at least 250 people will go out on teams throughout July and August; some will be mobile spreading out over Europe while others will be based in cities, youth hot spots and boiler rooms.
DATES FOR TRANSMISSION ARE: 8-11th JULY.
There will be an extra teams training day (12th July) following the gathering at the same venue. If you would like information on Transmission or would be interested in organising a team to be launched from Transmission please contact Phil Evans on [email protected] (+44)(0)1483 595608
