Whispers & Hope by Andrew Horton - 21 Mar 2006
The Whisperer by Andrew Horton
God whispers to His friends He loves to draw them near. A kiss blown in strong winds Is soothing to the ear. Quieter and quieter still. The Lord is drawing in Cannons roar in your heart But this voice has no din. Our trials increase for good For God to speak to us. Our faith is stretched for God, Who teaches us to trust. Closer and closer still It leaves our hearts in awe. As circumstances of life allow The closing of a door. A lifetime of listening Will not always suffice. Always we must do The deeds of Jesus Christ.
Holding On by Andrew Horton
So you say the days are hard And tomorrow’s cares are haunting. So your bones feel out of joint, And a gift of Grace seems daunting.
Nothing seems to move you on. Vivid dreams? All long gone. You can’t remember right from wrong. Motivation? Out of sight. No reminders for the fight. Yet as the battle rages. And sin is offering you its wages. Death won’t take you from My hand, However little you understand. However deep the bottomless pit However far you think you’ve slipped You have a future, and it’s with Me. Now and for Eternity.
