Busy week at City Boiler - 12 Jun 2006

Next week (19-23 June) is going to be a busy one at the City Boiler Room. It will mark the 1st Birthday of the Boiler Room we planted last year on the site of Wesley's Foundery Chapel.
The whole week will be a 24-7prayer week. You can get more details here . They'll also be a number of events taking place:
On Monday 19th, they'll be an Evening Reception for people who live or work in the City, a chance to hear the vision for next year and to hang out and pray together.
On Wednesday 21st, we'll be holding our 2nd UK Boiler Room Day. Last year nearly 50 people gathered to share stories and pray together. This year we're inviting people who are involved in active Boiler Rooms or communities or who are simply interested in Boiler Rooms to come along. We'll begin at 10am and finish at 5pm and then go for a meal if anyone wants to stay behind.
Finally on Friday 23rd we'll be holding a Party to celebrate the Boiler Rooms first year. Everyone is welcome. They'll be some worship, a chance to hear some stories and have fun together.
The 23rd will also give us a chance to say thank you to Jude Smith who will be leaving her position as Abbess at the end of June. Jude has done an incredible job in pioneering a Boiler Room in a different and tough environment. She has managed to oversee the refurbishment of the basement the BR is based in, develop a rhythm of prayer, network with many different groups and churches who now use the venue and so much more. We're so grateful for Jude and all she's done.
Jude is hoping to get ordained and then to work in an estate being a vicar-ess. Lets pray for her and for the selection process she is just beginning.
