USA: Prayer Room on TV! - 25 Oct 2004

We've already appeared on the God Bless Ibiza television documentary in the UK, while the Reading Boiler Room appeared on the CBN network in the USA - 24-7 Terre Haute  in Indiana, USA, have continued the trend with their first ever prayer room, launched this week.

Terre Haute's local tv channel ACTION NEWS 10 WTHI reported: "In the troubled times of our world people are still searching for solid ground. A local group of churches have found just such a thing: prayer....Hundreds of people will pray for the community, the county, and each other all in one prayer chapel right here in Terre Haute.....

"The cool thing is there's no hidden agenda at all. It's totally not a political thing. It's not a church thing. It's not promoting any single church or any single pastor or any cause more than just coming to pray," said Scot Longyear [one of the prayer room organisers]." People will have the chance to pray anyway they like at the prayer chapel.

Another prayer room organiser, Shawn writes: "Well, we 'launched' at 6 p.m. (with about 550 people in attendance; the room we were in is fire rated at 220 max!) with 2 hours of prayer, worship and praise.

We then took about 50 minutes to deploy the stations and people starting praying right then and there (the people scheduled to pray at 8 went back to another room at the Chapel to pray while we put the stations out). The Launch was the greatest thing I've ever attended. To see people from all the area churches united under one roof, praising His name... well, it was grand. The local paper also came out and interviewed Scot, Jared and myself. There is no doubt God is in this."
