'God's really been with us' - 1 Nov 2004

"Well, the week's nearly over and it's been awesome. It's been weird learning to sleep during the day and pray at night, but God has really been with us," Fred from Leicester, England, writes on 24-7talkback.

"Last night I was praying with my mate and I could sense an angel in the room which was awesome. People have poured out their hearts in really touching anonymous prayers on the walls and our main aim - people meeting with God has really been achieved (come on!)"

Fred also noted a prayer pattern emerging over the week as people felt  led to pray for society's outcasts, especially in Leicester. This was partly because the prayer room was near the city's main prison and homeless hostels - so  the pray-ers felt within touching distance of  marginalised people.

"Having taken part in the privilege of joining our brothers and sisters across the world in non-stop prayer (with only a few gaps) please now pray for us that we are able to outwork those prayers into mission in the community. It has been awesome not only for my Christian Union group but also for all the other groups and individuals (and there have been many) who have taken part.

Thanks for your support as we seek to glorify Jesus who deserves all the glory and honour and power forever."
