USA: 'here for God's kingdom' - 11 Nov 2004
"It's 3:30am here in Santa Barbara....The prayer slots are filling and people are experiencing God in ways they haven't before," Ken Elsner writes from the Californian city known for it's gorgeous beaches (see pic!) and wealthy residents, "A young mom wrote her first song for her 3 year old son who was asking big questions about God.
Our junior high school students spent a couple of hours last night praying with paint and I was blown away by their descriptions. the walls are full of writing and images pursuing Christ.
Please pray for us here in a city of affluence, that the churches would come together on our knees humbly before the throne of God so that the community would see that we are not in life for ourselves or for our little kingdoms, but in actuality, we are here for God's Kingdom. "
