Canada: students pray in university dorm - 18 Nov 2004
A prayer room ran for one week in a dorm at the University of British Columbia, leading up to an evangelistic "Church in Residence" event. The room was on campus and open for 14 hours a day, 7am-9pm, for a week.
Sarah, a student involved in running the week, wrote to 24-7 Canada:
"It's been so cool for me to find out that people WANT to pray, they just need to be released to do it! This prayer room was a great experience for our community and I hope we'll get to do it again! The focus of our season of prayer -- Church in Residence -- went very well last night. Despite opposition, we had a larger turn out than last year (prayer and free icecream!)."
