USA: 4 non-Christian Students pray. One breaks down in tears. - 28 Dec 2004

Four non-Christian International students recently turned up at a prayer room in Florida and prayed in their own languages! How did this happen? There is a student at Florida State University who leads a women’s bible study for the international students, most of whom aren’t Christians although they are often really curious about the faith. When the uni set up a 24-7 prayer room during the Fall, this Bible Study Leader deliberately signed herself up to spend an hour in the prayer room immediately after her regular time with these international students. She invited the women to join her in the prayer room and four of them who weren't Christians all came and even prayed in their own languages!

"They prayed together and on their own, they went to the different prayer stations also," reports the girl. One of these 'prayer stations' had prayer stones for writing down the names of people who don’t know Jesus. Each person was encouraged to take a stone from the prayer room and carry it with them as a way of praying for the person named on it for the day.
"I noticed that one of the foreign students was sitting there crying beside the pile of stones and so I went up to her to see if she was alright." It became clear that this woman, many miles from home, had just found her name on one of these stones. Seeing this and moved to tears she freely admitted her need for prayer. "It was just incredible! I got to pray with her and talk about what it means to really KNOW Jesus. Glory to God!"
