USA: She saw God in my life - 14 Jan 2005
Here in Kansas City, the 24-7 virus was caught even before Pete and Samie Greig arrived. We've had loads of testimonies flooding into the office from churches that have begun to pray like never before. Below is just one of the amazing stories of how God has taken ordinary people, changed their lives and used them to bring life to the people around them.

After going through some tough times this past year, I had come to a point in my life where I felt that I needed to get back to God. I had been attending church and had started praying more than I had in years, but something was still missing. Around that same time, our pastor introduced to us one Sunday morning the 24/7 Prayer Room. I was excited to see what it was all about and immediately signed up. I spent most of my first session in the Prayer Room crying, confessing, loving and rejoicing. This is what I had been missing...this closeness and intimacy in my realtionship with God. |

Since that day, I have gone into the Prayer Room weekly and have continued growing in my renewed relationship with God. It’s made me a better friend, coworker and mother. In fact, about a month ago at work, my supervisor (out of nowhere) confronted me and asked “What have you been doing?” Of course this caught me off guard as I had no idea what she could’ve been referring to. When I looked at her funny, she went on "No, I mean, there's something different about you. You've been going through some things that would have other people tied up in knots, but you take everything in stride and don't seem to let it get you down."

the Prayer Room and about my renewed relationship with God. I also told her that I had made the decision to put my worries on God because whatever plan He has for my life is better than any plan I could come up with for myself. The fact that God is at my side and has taken my worries in his hands has allowed me to be much more at peace. She mentioned to me that she too had been trying to get back to church and into her bible studies but just hadn’t gotten to the point of letting go, but said that she had noticed a big difference in me and wanted to know what it was. WOW! I walked back to my desk about 3 feet off the ground!
How exciting it was to know that God was showing his work in my life! All I could do was thank God, number one, for giving me the opportunity to share my story of God’s love and number two, for giving me the validation that what I had been feeling inside was now showing on the outside.

The miracles that are happening in people’s lives have become very visible since the start of the 24/7 Prayer Room in our church, and it’s so exciting to see God working right before our very eyes. I know for me, this was just the jump-start I needed and really seems to be opening up doors for me to share my story. Thank you God, thank you!
