India: Reaching 'Untouchables' in Tsunami aftermath - 26 Jan 2005

"I work with Antioch Network  which provides apostolic leadership to churches passionate about making disciples of Jesus among the nations," Dan Kane of Phoenix, Arizona writes.  "Immanuel Fellowship in Frisco, Colorado, a church within our network, has been praying 24-7 since last July (more on this amazing story soon! - Ed.)  Because we see the relationship between intimate transforming prayer with our heavenly Father and the establishment of God's Kingdom among the world's unreached peoples, we are very much interested in what God is doing through the 24-7 prayer movement.

Along with two friends and another Antioch Network staff member, I am now traveling to the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu in response to devastation caused by the recent tsunamis.  On January 17, we joined a medical relief team sent by the Dalit Freedom Network to provide food, water, blankets and medical care to the thousands of victims impacted by this catastrophic event.

The DFN exists to empower India's "untouchables" in their quest for social freedom and human dignity by networking human, financial and informational resources.

Please pray that:

- We will be able to serve the tsunami victims in love and without
weariness.
- Our efforts will bring eternal hope to people in great despair.
- The people we serve will know God's love.
- God will use this experience to forever change those of us who go. "
