It was cold on the floor in the prayer room.

 

We live in a very cold city. I started to get cold without shoes on. The cold sneaked into me, in every little part of me.

 

In a while I crawled up into the couch of convenience, to get away from the freezing and the cold.

 

We need shoes on our feet, 'feet fitted with the readiness' to stay serving, so that the warmth of God stays in us and drive us, and not become replaced by cold feet that crawls up inconvenience and falls asleep in that 'nice warmth there'.

 

God, I want those 'feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace' in me!!
