San Francisco: Salvations in Prayer Room - 3 Jun 2005
People gave their hearts to Jesus recently at a creative and multicultural 24-7 prayer room in San Francisco.

Anne Trumbo reports on an amzing ten days of non-stop praise and prayer: "When we initially heard from God that He would be pleased if we would pray and worship for ten days straight, we didn't know what to expect.
-
There were only six weeks leading up to the chosen time block.
-
There was no money to promote the event.
-
Our leadership team was already overextended with other ministry prior-ities and personal crises.
-
My husband James had just gone home to be with Jesus after over a year- long battle with cancer.
It seemed like a totally crazy idea... Yet, by God's grace, UPPER ROOM REMIX was more wonderful than we ever could have imagined.

Baptists prayed with Jewish believers, and Samoan Pentecostals prayed with Episcopalians.
It was fantastic! |

Dozens of churches and ministries from San Francisco and the greater Bay Area joined with hundreds of intercessors to bring a continuous offering of harp and bowl worship and intercession to the Lord in the heart of San Francisco. We experienced the wonder of being in one place, in one accord, with an incredible diversity of expression in the Body of Christ. We had an African American gospel congregation followed by a Chinese bilingual team with seven different Chinese con-gregations represented. Next came pentecostal Hispanic church.
Old and young prayed for the nations of the world, and the"nations" that live among us...the different people groups in our communities. Our late night teams included a DJ from Finland spinning gospel house music as someone read from the Book of Revelation A large group of young dredlocked believers worshipped in a drum circle praying their hearts out to the beat of the drums. Glory To God!!!This summer we will be hosting three 24 HOURS OF PRAYER on the last weekends of June, July and August. In September, we hope to move forward into a fully functioning 24/7 House of Prayer in San Francisco with the participation of many congregations and intercessors.
