USA: Faith filled and soaking wet - 19 Aug 2005
Our week of 24-7 prayer (here with East Hill Church in Gresham, Oregon) took place in a tent, and although the weather has been a great challenge - for most of the week it was rainy and wet - this did not stop people from joining us in prayer. Every hour, we had approximately 4 people praying in the tent.
Throughout the week, we experienced some unification of the church body, as we had people from all ages showing up to join together in this effort of prayer. The feedback we received is amazing. People asked if we could keep the prayer tent out longer than our scheduled week, and they were really touched by its creativity and of course by the things that took place during their prayer time.
We had random people come by and ask for prayer. Once, a whole family showed up at 4.30 am asking to be prayed for. Various small groups and prayer groups scheduled their weekly meetings in the tent.
I believe that the vision has been caught and the passion for seeking God in prayer increased.

This week has been a time of healing, encouragement, restoration, and deepening in relationship with God for many. We ministered to young kids who showed up daily to seek God and to experience His love and comfort. These youth discovered new ways of prayer and intimacy with Christ, and adults were blessed and stengthened and left refreshed. This week had a great impact on our church, and we can't wait for the next season of 24-7 prayer to come.
This week of prayer was certainly a positve step toward deeper intimacy with God for everyone who took part.
