Reports from NZ: God loves Kindergarten, and more... - 9 Dec 2005

Bringing you up-to-date testimonies from two 24-7 prayer rooms in New Zealand...

Pastor Can't Get Alone Time in Prayer Room

"What for me began with reading a book on 24-7 Prayer called Red Moon Rising a few months ago has turned into a hugely significant spiritual event for literally hundreds of our people – adults, youth and children – as they visit our prayer premises around the clock and spend time in the presence of God.

For example: I am praying for eight consecutive mornings from 3am to 4am – partly because I felt like God told me to and partly because Red Moon Rising reckons the presence of God tends to be stronger during the night than any other time.

Amazingly, despite it being 3am, I have yet to be in the prayer room alone. This morning, for example, I had three companions who weren’t scheduled for that hour but just turned up because they wanted to be there. Two of them (one a 16-year-old) were there for impromptu 12-hour overnight stints. Go figure!"

NZ Church Experiences Salvations, Growth

The Faith Factory Salvation Army in West Auckland, New Zealand ran a month of 24-7 Prayer back in March and now we are running another month of 24-7 Prayer, which began on October 30th.

Our church has grown so much through focusing on prayer and prayer has become huge to everyone in our church.  Prayer is no longer intimidating as it once was.  24-7 Prayer has encouraged not only growth in our church but has brought many people to Jesus.  There has been healing and huge answers to prayers.

Woman With Child After Prayer (??)

I have had an answer to prayer. My sister, who hasn't been able to get pregnant for the last 2+ years, is now 7 months pregnant and is very healthy and blessed.

I put my sister and her partner's names in the prayer room earlier this year. I learned to really pray for them, and it also gave me the opportunity to tell them that people were praying for them and about God and His love.  She sometimes goes to church - but she knows this baby is a blessing from God.

God Loves Kindergarten

“We run a Christian Kindergarten at the Faith Factory, and we are required by law to have at least one staff member who is fully qualified and registered as a teacher. As of August 2005, we had no staff members who were qualified or registered teachers, and the Ministry of Education were ready to close us down.

Faith Factory (Not Kindergartners. No way.)

We believed God wanted our school to continue, so we lifted it totally up to God in prayer in a month of 24-7.

At the beginning of November, someone received a word from the Lord and wrote it up on our worship wall.

The word was from Habakkuk 2:2-3...
"Then the Lord said to me, "Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. But these things I plan won't happen right away.  Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed."

On November 19th, two (not one, but two!) qualified and registered Christian teachers were hired for our school! This answer to prayer has been so huge for our church - people are speechless with what God has done for us! God not only listened and answered our prayers but He poured out even more blessings by blessing us with 2 teachers when we only needed 1! PRAISE GOD!"

'Tears in My Ears'

Our 24-7 prayer room has become infused with the presence of God. You can enter the place dedicated to prayer and find time suspended or strangely warped so it passes so quickly or it stretches so that the weary can rest and have the “hurry” bathed away.

writing on the wall: NZ prayer room

We have encountered a phenomenon which has become known as “tears in my ears”. You sit in the beanbag at the foot of a rough-hewn, life-size cross. Gradually as you gaze up at this cross your face tilts upward, your eyes close, the Spirit of God moves in and around you and tears leak from the corners of your eyes and dribble into your ears.

People are asking each other, “Did you get tears in your ears?” We know what that means.
