Muslim meets God in North African Prayer Room - 25 May 2006
I just wanted to fill you guys in on what’s been going on in North Africa. It’s been AMAZING!!!!!! I'm really excited about 24-7 prayer, the Spirit of God is moving in a big way.I read in the Red Moon Rising that 1 hour of God’s presence feels like 10 minutes, my reaction to that was, “yeah, right, whatever”, but I swear, 2 hours feels like 10 minutes! I feel so drawn to it, 2 hours isn't long enough, give me 5!
A few snapshotsMany people have spoken of how easy they found it to pray free from distractions, it’s been described as addictive! Our pastor said that if he has a day without spending some time there, he misses it! Getting a taste of God's Presence is what it's all about.
A Muslim who's been seeking for 5 years spent 3 hours in the prayer room with a friend, he’s finally come through to faith - HALLELUJAH!!!
On the Friday night, the youth group took the whole night, and only a couple of them got any sleep at all, because of all the prayer.
A French-speaking congregation that share our building prayed through the night, one of them virtually lived in the prayer room during it's second week! It’s brought our congregations together and that can only be good.
We've been laying down this big map of North Africa and marching over it, representing our feet bringing a Gospel of peace. This land belongs to our Saviour Jesus Christ; the Maker, the creator, the giver of life, the prince of peace, he is the God of love he is our Father… Pray for us!
So many opportunities have opened up because of this prayer room. Let’s pray to see 3000 souls revived like the book of Acts were the Holy Spirit came and there was revival. We need Him and the people of North Africa need him even more.
