Scotland: 140 Young People Meet Jesus in Small Village - 1 Nov 2006

Bad day?
Need a bit of encouragement?
Want proof that God really is on the move?  Well, maybe this letter just in from Phil Togwell will help... Phil (pictured with respectable new haircut, but guinea-pig still hanging from chin) reports some really encouraging developments from friends in Scotland and 24-7prayer rooms in Ireland and Wales as well as some significant developments amongst Methodists and churches across London...

Dear 24- Friends!

I got an email from a friend in Scotland yesterday. I could imagine the grin on her face as she typed about the 140 young people who’d just given their lives to Jesus in her tiny home village of Tillicoultry (right)!

And then there are the emails we’ve been receiving all week from the 24-7prayer room in Welshpool (right) in Wales. The guys there are talking about being 'turned upside-down'. They're describing profound prophetic words that have spoken right into the heart of the church and its' team of leaders, stirring-up stuff to be dealt with, but bringing freedom as well...

Ruth texted me yesterday too – those who’re coming to the Network Day in Belfast, Ireland will hear more from her and Hannah, as they’re organising the Methodist’s year of 24-7 prayer that kicks off in 2007. Ruth texted to say that their 'Autumn Soul' weekend had been fantastic, and that over 75 young people were in their prayer room on Friday night!

And last night, while Emma and I were enjoying a Nigerian meal with our friends Jonathan and Abbi Oloyede, Jonathan (left) told me about his plans for a year of 24-7 prayer across London in 2007, mostly fuelled by the black Pentecostal churches.

Love
Phil
