Global Day of Prayer Feedback: A Letter from Etienne PaekEtienne Piek - 15 Jun 2007
Hi Everyone!
Let me start by thanking you for all your hard work towards the Global Day of Prayer 2007. Again, God amazed us with 203 nations who participated in this year’s GDOP. More encouraging is the fact that the process was really deeper and wider in the sense that more villages, towns and cities participated within nations. During the 10 Days there were more than 3500 Prayer Watches! Now we are really looking forward to see the prayers continue in a lifestyle of compassionate action during the 90 Days of Blessing.
One factor we'd like to highlight, however, was the participation of children and youth in the whole process. More than 70 nations participated in "Praying on the High Places" initiative, and in most cases was led by the emerging generation. Young people and children also flooded the Prayer Watches and were an integral part of events on the GDOP! Let us praise God for the rise of the Daniel Generation.
This letter serves to encourage you to please send us reports on what the young generation was up to during the GDOP process or when Praying on the High Places. A one page report with some photos and/or video footage on cd, dvd or dv cam will enable us to encourage Christians worldwide via the website. This really is a testimony of what God is doing in the nations and it should be told! It would also help to mobilize even more nations to participate in 2008.
Send all reports, photos and videos to Etienne Piek, via email.
In the meantime visit the Global Day of Prayer website to read the stories from all over the world.
Be encouraged!
Etienne
