What's New for 24-7 Prayer in 2008?Carla Harding - 27 Dec 2007
It’s just a few days after Christmas and 24-7 Prayer International is working at full speed to finish up a few important projects before the New Year. 2008 will herald many new and exciting ways to access the movement and communicate the vision of 24-7 Prayer so keep your eyes peeled over the coming months for more information on the following areas:
New 24-7 Prayer Room Resources!
We’ve boiled down eight years of experience and feedback from around the world to produce a free resource to help anyone who wants to pray 24-7. It includes tips on creative prayer/designing your space, how to motivate people to pray and how to gather testimonies. The new pack will be available by post, downloadable PDF and an audio MP3. We’re also aiming to have it translated into as many languages as we can get willing volunteers for.
New Ways to Get Involved With 24-7 Training
The International Communities team are currently reviewing all the ways we train people within the 24-7 Prayer movement. The successful Transit course has been a great pioneer project but limited to people who can give up 9 months to live in a Boiler Room. From the review we hope to find new and more accessible ways to get teaching and training resources from 24-7 Prayer. One idea is a web based Podcast you can go through with a small group in your Church. For more information on how this develops keep your eyes on the news feed on this site.
24-7 Shorts Coming Soon
The 24-7 Shorts are five mini-documentaries about the 24-7 Prayer Movement. Following four groups of people and one rather amusing bunch of dancers Bob Jobe and his intrepid media team have produced some professional snapshots of the life of the movement. Exploring the themes of prayer, mission, justice, community and creativity they’re scheduled for release early next year.
A Redesign of the 24-7 International Website
We have a creative and hard working web team who are beavering away this Christmas redesigning our website. I won’t say anything more as I don’t want to spoil the surprise but early next year expect to see change. Please pray for the team as they pour their talents and energy into serving the movement online.
