24-7 UK Tour: The Lowdown - 15 Jan 2008
Plans are a-foot in the UK.
A feast is being prepared in Colchester, Essex, thrown open to all who want to come and ‘taste’ the goodness of God and his grace at work in the small community there. The board-room in the City of London Boiler Room is waiting to receive visitors who might sit around its long table and negotiate, in prayer, a better deal for those living and working in our nation’s capital. Out the back of the bustling ‘Malt Cross’ restaurant/bar in Nottingham, a prayer room promises sanctuary to those who would take a second look at this innocent business venture.
12 different locations around the UK are preparing for the very first 24-7 prayer tour, a chance to spend time with old friends and to welcome new ones. Throughout January and February members of the UK 24-7 team will travelling throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
In every location, afternoons will be spent listening to and encouraging the local community - those wrestling with what it means to live a lifestyle of ‘prayer-mission-justice’. Then in the evenings, those communities are extending hospitality to anyone who wants to come and hear the stories of what God is up to in their midst.
These will be times to celebrate, to hear stories, watch videos, and listen to inspired words from some of the 24-7 Prayer team. The goal is to fuel some fires and call new friends into a wild life centred on prayer and mission and mercy.
Please come and gather with us to lift up God’s name, to encourage one another and to pray for our nation. And wherever in the world you’re reading this, please pray for us and come back to read the reports of the tour as they appear...
