Canada: Dan writes... - 26 May 2004
I’d like to ask you to join in praying for the Canadian team in the coming days. Last fall we’d sensed the Lord saying in 2004 we would grow into a place of maturity and depth as a movement in Canada and it seems this is what is happening!! We’ve added volunteer staff to the office, seen new partnerships formed with like-minded ministries, amazing numbers of students and adults changed in prayer rooms (not to mention a handful of people who have accepted Christ in rooms!!) and much more (see stories on www.24-7prayer.ca for details).
Some specific requests we’d like to bring to your attention:
Ø The Canadian Base is applying for charitable status … we need a lawyer to look over the application and give us a referral. Pray that we will be led to the right person and that they will donate their services. Pray also that the application will be accepted and approved by the government quickly.
Ø Dan King will be moving to a ¾ time, donor supported role at the Canadian Base. Pray that the finances they need will be in place for July 1st. This is a huge faith step for Dan and his family, but the timing seems right and God’s fingerprints are all over the preparation!!
Ø Pray for Paul Wegenast and Chad Block and the Boiler Room team in Calgary as they continue to plan and prepare for the Fall ’04 launch. Pray that the vision for the BR will be well received and embraced by city churches and ministries.
Ø The program, “God Bless Ibiza” will be airing nationally in Canada sometime before July. Pray that it will have significant impact in the lives of those who view it.
Thanks so much!!
Dan King
