New 24-7 Shorts Release! - 9 Sep 2008
‘All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing.’ [Col 1:6]
Jesus is on the move! He’s showing up amongst prostitutes in Mexico, party-people in Ibiza, and praying punks in Germany. There’s nothing we love more in the 24-7 Prayer movement than bragging about how great our God is and what he’s up to around the world. We’ve told God’s stories through books, this website and gatherings: now we’re spreading the good news further and breaking into the world of film.
24-7 Chronicler Bob Jobe has produced five short documentaries telling five amazing stories of people caught up in a genuine movement of the Holy Spirit. Each movie is filmed on location in a different country and explores a different dimension of prayer.
“pray in the Spirit on all occasions
with all kinds of prayers…
for all the saints.” [Eph 6:18]
You might have already seen the first three films currently on release by signing up to 24-7 Rewind (our weekly Email Newsletter) through which you were sent an invitation code. And, if you didn't catch the hint, that's how you can still get access to our exclusive 24-7 Shorts preview site. So get on it!
Once you have your code, head over to the site and watch the latest films on release, download your own copy, play them at your church, put them on your Blog or Facebook and spread the word about 24-7 Prayer!
The three mini-docs on release now are:
Prayer as a Movement: People from around the globe telling the story of 24-7 Prayer. Warning: this film contains some rather bad dancing
Prayer as Justice: The story of Kelly Greene, 24-7’s pioneer missionary in Boys Town Mexico and her life of loving the men and women of a legalised red light district.
Prayer as Mission: A look at the life, work and mission of the 24-7 community on the Balearic island of Ibiza.
Coming soon we have:
Prayer as Community: A look a the life and rhythms of the Convers Community (or 24-7 Boiler Room) in Ramsdorf, Germany.
And new, on exclusive release from today:
Prayer as Creativity: A film exploring the passion and prayer of a drumming community called Triibe in Oklahoma, USA. If you thought prayer was just words or thoughts be prepared to expand your thinking!
Triibe will be featured at 24-7's 'HOME' Gathering (Aug 12-14, 2008), so if you are in the area and fancy seeing them live, check out our information pages and get yourself a day ticket!
We hope these films inspire you to pray and become the answer to your own prayers in the towns, cities and nations you’re watching them from. So grab your popcorn and a beverage of your choice and click across to the main feature…
