Poles Out for the "Count": New Translation of 24-7 Book - 19 Sep 2008

‘The Lord of the Ring’, 24-7 Prayer’s road-trip biography of Count Zinzendorf and the Moravian revival, is set to be published in Polish!

The Moravians and their wild hundred years of non-stop prayer were the original inspiration behind 24-7. Their pioneering passion for global mission and their heart for radical community have been massive influences on how the movement has developed. Now the story is going to get told to a new generation of Poles for the first time.

“It’s really appropriate that Poland should be the first country to take on translation of ‘The Lord of the Ring’” says author Phil Anderson. “The village of Herrnhut where it all began in the 18th century is only a few miles from the Polish border, and this is a deep part of the spiritual heritage of that area of Europe.”

The process of translation and publication means that it may be a year or so before Polish speakers can encounter ‘The Lord of the Ring’ in their own language. But in the meantime, you can obtain the English edition from the 24-7 Shop or purchase the US version from the 24-7 USA Shop.

Phil Anderson works for 24-7 promoting prayer and political engagement inside the British Parliament. He is a leader of the 24-7 Boiler Room in Thurrock, east of London (UK). Phil also flies planes, writes books, advises government and industry on clever stuff, and is a husband to Lisa and father to Holly (11) and Bethany (9).
