Mexico: Appointment with 40,000! - 5 Aug 2004
Carlos Sanchez of 24-7 Mexico need your prayers this month as the spiritual temperature rises. He writes: "for about a month I went through a period of numbness due to mega-annoying university work. right now I am trying to wake up from that and trying to head on to the responsibilities of 24-7 Mexico.During the next two couple of months I would appreciate any prayers in my direction, as you know I carry on to coordinate 24-7 for Mexico and every year it seems that we have more to do with less resources. Anyhow, we have been invited to run prayer rooms at different conferences this next couple of months and we will be able to spread the word to right about 40,000 people and maybe ignite some more prayer rooms through out the Mexican territory.
I've also planned a trip to Barcelona during the month of August. (24-7 currently have a mission team based there) I wanted to take part in an international youth festival there that would host youth from over 100 countries to talk mainly about sustainable development, social justice and peace. Unfortunately my university does not want to give me a permit to miss the 4 weeks of class I would miss because of the event. and I might not even go even though I've planned it for months.
Everyday I am more and more convinced that prayer is the only thing that will allow us to have solid foundations for growth in our country. I also believe that movements such as 24-7 prayer are in a key position to make that healthy growth a reality.
I would really appreciate it if you could pray with me during the month of August, for the people that I will meet, for the times I will have to speak and for the events I will have to run."
