Pray for the G20 with Micah Challenge - 31 Mar 2009
On the 2nd April some of the most influential leaders in international economics are gathering in London, England. The G20 (Financial Ministers and Bank Governors from 20 of the most economically influential nations) are gathering to discuss the world's broken economy. There are few people who haven’t felt the impact of the Global economic downturn that many are calling a crisis. This meeting will be an important forum where financial recovery and how we could avoid history repeating will on the minds of all.
Clearly some things need to change: the way that we view and use money, our banking systems and in particular our approach to credit and debt. While governments around the world are desperately clawing their economies back towards something resembling 'normal', perhaps this is a good time to pray that the standard of 'normal' is reconsidered…
The Micah Challenge has produced a great prayer guide for the days leading up to the G20 summit on the 2nd April. We'd really like every 24-7 community and Boiler Room, and everyone who’s connected with 24-7 Prayer, to download it and commit to praying for our world leaders at this important time. Pray with us for righteous decision-making, for courage and wisdom in their decisions.
