Prayer Rooms on YouTubeCarla Harding - 15 Apr 2009
Video sharing website YouTube has always been a well of the weird and wonderful as people around the globe upload videos about everything from their pets to their passions. Last week Phil Togwell, 24-7's UK team leader, sent me a link to the YouTube video below of an English 24-7 Prayer Room. As I watched a guided tour of their creative prayer space I glanced to the right of the page and saw the list of videos with the title 24-7 Prayer. Lost was my next 15 minutes as I browsed one video to the next from the USA, Brazil, Germany and many more nations. Prayer Rooms of such beautiful diversity and colour, prayers written, drawn or sculpted; it was an amazing visual cross section of how this crazy prayer experiment has developed across cultures and contexts. I recommend it as a tea-break pass time to anyone who enjoys creative conversations with God...
