Prayer Room Registration Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRAYER ROOM REGISTRATION SYSTEM

These terms tell you the rules for using our Prayer Room Registration System (as defined below).

1.2 A Prayer Room Administrator (or ‘Administrator’) is a person who uses the Prayer Room Registration System to register a prayer room.

1.3 A Prayer Room User (or ‘User’) is a person who uses the Prayer Room Registration System to sign up to one or more time slots in a registered prayer room. A User may create a login account prior to booking a time slot in a prayer room, make a booking as an existing User via a pre-existing login account, or alternatively, make a booking as a guest without a login account.

1.4 The Prayer Room Registration System (or ‘Registration System’) (www.24-7prayer.com/register) is a part of a site operated by 24-7 Prayer International which allows Administrators to register one or more prayer rooms for use by Users, and allows Users to book one or more time slots in a registered prayer room. The Registration System is made available to both Administrators and Users free of charge.

Our contact details:

2.1 To contact us, please email [email protected] or telephone our customer service line on +44 (0) 1483 313655.

By using the Registration System you accept these terms:

3.1 By using the Registration System, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.

3.2 If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Registration System.

3.3 We recommend that you print or retain an electronic copy of these terms for future reference.

3.4 As a user or administrator, you agree to only use the registration system for lawful purposes and in a manner which does not infringe the rights or restrict or inhibit the use or enjoyment of the site by any third party.

3.5 As a user or administrator you must not knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material which contains viruses or any other harmful programs which could harm computer software or hardware.

There are other terms that may apply to you:

4.1 These terms refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to the use of the Registration System:

Our Privacy Policy (www.24-7prayer.com/privacy), which explains how 24-7 Prayer will deal with your personal data.

Our Cookie Policy (www.24-7prayer.com/privacy#cookies), which sets out information about the cookies on our site.

We may make changes to these terms:

5.1 We will amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use the Registration System, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. These terms were last updated on 27/11/2019.

We may make changes to our site:

6.1 We may update and change our site and the Registration System from time to time to reflect the needs of the Administrators and/or Users and our business priorities. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any major changes.

We may suspend or withdraw our site:

7.1 The Registration System is made available free of charge for your private or personal use, or otherwise in pursuit of 24-7 Prayer’s charitable objects, subject to these terms.

7.2 We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We reserve the right to terminate your access to the website or any part of it or to withdraw any of our services at any time without notice for any reason. Occasionally we may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to some parts or the whole of our website to Administrators and/or Users who have registered with us for business and operational reasons.

Responsibility of Administrators - Personal Data:

8.1 Administrators are given access to personal data provided by users when they sign up to a prayer room slot. This may include the user’s name and email address (both of which are required) and the user’s telephone number (which is sometimes required). As an administrator, you will be defined as a Data Controller of that data and are required by law (the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation or ‘GDPR’) to handle this data in a secure and sensitive manner (see paragraph 8.2 below), and only for the following purposes:

To communicate information pertinent to the use of the prayer room (e.g. where the prayer room is located and how to access it)

To confirm users’ time slots

To contact users who have not turned up for their time slots

As an administrator you are required to use your own judgment as to what is an appropriate level communication and will be held responsible in the event of inappropriately high levels of communication or inappropriate content within communications.

8.2 As an administrator, you must handle the personal data of users in a way which minimises the risk of that data being accessed by a third party or lost according to the legal requirements that Data Controllers must adhere to. To that end, you are required not to share the data with any third party and should only access it through your password protected account on the 24-7 Prayer website. We ask that you use an appropriately secure password according to the following principles:

Use a password which is more than eight characters long and uses a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Do not use the same password that you use for other accounts.

Do not share your password with any third party.

8.3 In the event of a data breach (where a third party has accessed the Users’ data or that data has been lost), please contact the Data Protection Officer for your group (if you have one) and 24-7 Prayer International’s Data Protection Officer via [email protected] and we will advise you on how to proceed. You should check what the data breach reporting requirements are in your jurisdiction. In the UK you are required to report a data breach to the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach and you should not wait to hear back from our Data Protection Officer before doing so. Once again, we will not be held responsible for any data breach that occurs when that data is under your control.

8.4 Any communication or material that you transmit to, or post on, any public area of the site including any data, questions, comments, suggestions or the like, is and will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary information.

Do not rely on guidelines and instructions:

10.1 When we make available guidelines, suggestions or instructions for organising or running your prayer room and the activities run within it, you must not rely on them as stating best, recommended or safe practice. In any event, any decision made by Administrators or Users, on the basis of information supplied on the website or in any 24-7 Prayer Room resources, is the responsibility of the Administrator or User. We do not accept liability (as far as permitted by law) for any loss arising from any use or reliance on information included in this website.

Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you:

11.1 Except as specifically set out in these terms, to the fullest extent permissible by law, neither 24-7 Prayer nor any of its affiliates, directors, employees or other representatives will be liable (whether under contract, tort or statute) for any of the following losses or damage (whether or not such losses were foreseeable):

Losses suffered by third parties;

Loss of data;

Loss of goodwill; or

Any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages.

11.2 We will not be held responsible in the event that any unlawful activity takes place within a prayer room. We strongly suggest that you read our safeguarding guidelines before registering your prayer room (which can be accessed via www.24-7prayer.com/safeguarding-guidelines)

11.3 We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11.4 Our site and the Registration System is for private use only. You agree not to use our site for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

How we may use your personal information:

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with these authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.

Rules about linking to our site:

14.1 You may link to our site or the Registration System, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.
